Lemon Peel Shoe Parlor

The logo was designed using an actual lemon peel that I cut and shaped to the position I wanted, then photographed, converted to vector art and finally used in the logo design. The example below shows an unused design as part of the art refining process. You can see in the rough draft that I had used the photograph of the lemon peel whereas in the final logo it had been converted to line art. The client was opening her shoe parlor in a renovated building that had some art deco architechtural flourishes and they wanted the typeface to reflect that style.
